Thursday 17 June 2010 Kyles of Bute N550 55.900’ W0050 09.600’

A walk ashore to see the castle and walk along the shore of Loch Gail. A wonderful anchorage. The sort of berth that makes cruising in the Clyde such a pleasure.

Then another wonderful day sailing in predominantly light winds with sunshine, from Loch Gail down Lock Long and round past Rothesay and up East Kyle to moor near the Burnt Islands. Once again sailing in company with Milly Brown – just sailing together not racing it must be understood, even though there was much retrospective analysis on performance and who did better on which shift. (Alcyone was the first to the mooring!)
